Great summary, and important work. This would be disastrous for American education, as it proposes some of the things already done under the Reagan administration, which led to a precipitous fall in academic performance.

It claims to want to advance "scientific and technological discovery," while effectively excluding many students by virtue of its rhetorical, racist, and otherwise discriminatory demands.

Add to that the reduction of income based repayment plans and public service forgiveness, and it will also exclude a substantial portion of the public based on economic class.

The goal here is obviously and strictly ideological. It wants to allow education primarily for a conservative, white, straight elitist class. It wants to prioritize privatization, which has failed in virtually every public service sector ever.

Like every assault on the general public, situated within ideological nonsense, this would create a temporary oligarchy that would eventually collapse into a kleptocracy. People who propose this kind of twaddle simply think they alone will at least benefit long enough to make it worthwhile.
